The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented who can take the lead in planning and delivering a diverse range of school events, both internal and external, that reflect the Colleges values and community.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate and deliver a variety of College events including assemblies, celebrations, awards nights, parent evenings, cultural events, and staff functions;Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to ensure seamless event logistics;Develop event timelines, run sheets, and communication plansManage event-related communication, including promotional materials, signage, and guest invitationsEnsure all events align with the Colleges brand, standards, and health and safety requirementsMaintain event budgets and monitor expensesConduct post-event evaluations and reportingSelection CriteriaDemonstrated experience in event coordination, preferably in a school, community, or not-for-profit environmentStrong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively across teamsHigh level of attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approachFlexibility to occasionally work outside of standard school hours for eventsRelevant qualifications or training in event management or related field (desirable)Generous staff discounts on Prep to Year 12 student feesFree on-site parkingAccess to professional development opportunitiesAccess to Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Access to on-site nurse and annual flu vaccinationsRegular staff celebrationsSalary sacrifice optionsAbout UsThe Islamic College of Brisbane is a leading independent school committed to providing high-quality education underpinned by Islamic values.
