About the roleReporting to the National Safety Manager, the Return-to-Work Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting injured workers to safety and effectively return to the workplace. This position ensures compliance with the Queensland Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 and promotes the best practice in workplace rehabilitation. The coordinator will liaise with stakeholders, manage rehabilitation plans, and contribute to continuous improvement of return-to-works systems.This role will be based out of our Eagle Farm site and support the InfraBuild Reinforcing and ARC business unites nationally, along with our Mesh business in QLD.Key responsibilities will include:Support the process of lodging workers compensation claims and understanding compensation entitlements and claim determination processIdentify and implement administrative procedures following a workplace injuryCoordinate and design suitable duties programs tailored to common injuries and individual worker needsRecognise and address psychosocial and psychological factors affecting return-to-work outcomesCommunicate effectively with injured workers, management, treating practitioners, insurers and other key stakeholdersEstablish or collaborate on rehabilitation plans with external providersRaise awareness among supervisors, managers and workers around workplace rehabilitation practicesMonitor return to work progress and address breaches of obligationsContribute to the development and improvement of workplace rehabilitation policies and proceduresTo be successful in this role, you will have:Completion of relevant training in Queensland Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation or a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar roleExperience in workplace injury management or return to work coordination with a self-insured businessFamiliarity with legislative frameworks and rehabilitation guidelinesStrong understanding of workers compensation systems and rehabilitation servicesAbility to design and implement effective return to work strategiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of basic anatomy and injury impact on work dutiesCommitment to continuous improvement and best practiceKey BenefitsBelow are some of our key central benefits that are available to InfraBuild employees.
