Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal ofenabling human life on Mars.SPACEPORT OPERATIONS TECHNICIANThe Spaceport Operations Technician will take ownership of Starbase social-facing spaces, ensuring they are clean, organized, and optimized for the best guest experience. This role provides boots-on-the-ground oversight, inventory management, and support for event execution. The ideal candidate will bring high attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement in all areas of spaceport hospitality and site operations.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide the highest quality of service to Starbase employees, guests, and residents by maintaining clean, functional, and aesthetically pleasing social spacesPerform routine inspections and submit maintenance work requests to ensure all spaces are guest-ready and maintained to the highest standardsDrive continuous improvement across assigned areas by implementing at least one major enhancement per quarter-whether aesthetic, functional, or operationalSupport events by coordinating social space readiness, setting up and breaking down equipment, and maintaining cleanliness throughoutMaintain organized and well-stocked storage and supply areas; coordinate inventory management and ordering with the Experience teamCommunicate daily through reporting tools and shift pass-downs, documenting task completion, inventory usage, and status updatesCollaborate with Facilities and Housekeeping teams to escalate and track maintenance or service needsLead by example through work ethic, attention to detail, time management, and pride in upholding presentation standardsAssist in training and mentoring team members, contributing to a culture of accountability and operational excellenceBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalency certificate1+ years of custodial, facilities maintenance, or operations experiencePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasksExperience maintaining or managing shared or social-use spacesDemonstrated ability to uphold high standards of cleanliness, functionality, and guest satisfactionEffective communicator across departments and with guestsExperience supporting events or large gatherings with setup and breakdown responsibilitiesComfortable identifying issues, submitting tickets, and proactively driving solutionsAbility to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassistedAbility to stand, walk, and move throughout a large facility for long periodsMust be available to support overtime and occasional weekend events as neededITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. * 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. * 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
