We are expanding our team and looking to recruit 2 x Community Fundraising Leads that can be based in one of our following Cancer Council NSW offices Woolloomooloo, Parramatta, Erina, Kotara, Coffs Harbour, Tamworth, Byron Bay, Orange or Wagga Wagga.Cancer Council NSW is Australias leading cancer organisation and our vision is to change the path of cancer and make sure no one walks alone. At CCNSW, were here for meaningful careers that feel good.About the teamThis position sits within the Community Fundraising Unit and broader Marketing & Fundraising Division (M&F) of Cancer Council NSW. Community Fundraising works at the local community level to form sustainable relationships and ensure growth and sustainability of our fundraising portfolio.About the roleReporting to the Community Fundraising Unit Manager and leading a team of 5-7 staff members dispersed across NSW, the Community Fundraising Lead is responsible for the effective delivery of community fundraising campaigns and activities in line with the organisations fundraising and marketing strategy.This role will manage a team of community fundraising staff across NSW to operationalise the community fundraising strategy, deliver events and support and engage with key supporters and stakeholders to achieve community fundraising budgets. The role will also lead the team to achieve additional success measures such as supporter engagement, retention and acquisition to build and maintain sustainability for the organisation.Key responsibilities of the roleCommunity Fundraising and Stakeholder EngagementLead a dispersed team across NSW in delivering community fundraising campaigns and events that generate revenue and build trust with supporters to ensure a loyal and enduring connection with CCNSWEnsure staff engage and inspire community within their area of responsibility to deliver an outstanding fundraising experienceBuild, retain and grow high quality key stakeholder relationships across the portfolios and communities you manageOperational LeadershipSupport the development and implementation of community fundraising strategies and operational plansEnsure effective operational management across communities in line with organisational policies and proceduresPeople ManagementEffectively manage a team of 5-7 staff members based across multiple Cancer Council officesConsistently and effectively communicate the Organisational and Divisional objectives to the community fundraising teamsSupport effective collaboration within the unit and across divisionsLead, drive and be accountable for community fundraising portfolios in line with agreed targets and budgetsAssist the Community Fundraising Manager with budgeting and forecasting as requiredConsistently implement and support CCNSWs brand and communication strategies and plansBrand and CommunicationsConsistently implement and support CCNSWs brand and communication plansAchieve a high level of local brand trust and relevance, coupled with outstanding customer service and engagement with supportersOtherPerform specific operational tasks related to facilities management, fleet management, Work Health & Safety and/or risk & compliance.About youDemonstrated understanding of community fundraising practices and principlesExperience in people leadership including team development, performance management and motivation of employees and volunteersAbility to manage both income and expenditure to achieve targetsAbility to identify, develop and manage relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders across diverse sectors to assist in achieving community fundraising objectivesAbility to work collectively with others and influence stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to lead and manage operational plans and systems that support strategyAbility to actively plan and make recommendations to ensure continual improvement in operational deliveryA demonstrated systematic way of working and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlinesAn ability to travel extensively throughout NSW communities and work flexible hours, including weekendsDemonstrated ability to lead and manage teams across multiple locationsQualifications or experience in fundraising, business or event management disciplinesAbout the benefitsGenerous salary packaging options that can increase your take home pay by paying certain expenses using pre-tax dollars up to $15,900 a year.Recognised for Voice Projects 2021 and 2023 Best Workplace Award.A balanced organisational approach to WFH and officeAdditional performance-based leave available.Work for purpose and know that your work fosters an engaged, diverse and culturally aware organisation.Discounts available for everyday expenses such as private health, retail and fitnessCCNSW is an inclusive place to volunteer and work.
