This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by mentoring and guiding services toward high-quality and inclusive practices across OSHC and Long Day Care (LDC) settings.About The RoleAs a Community of Practice Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting our services to deliver high-quality educational programs. Youll provide guidance, mentoring, and tools to help educators create inclusive, child-centered environments that support holistic development.Key ResponsibilitiesObserve, assess, and provide tailored training to educators.Develop and implement educational procedures and documentation.Mentor educators in delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate, and inclusive programs.Support services in community engagement and building strong local partnerships.Assist in designing and implementing wellbeing initiatives for children, families, and staff.Facilitate reflective practice sessions to guide the development and review of Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).Support the implementation of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the My Time, Our Place learning framework for school-aged children.Lead preparation and drive continuous improvement efforts related to the Assessment and Rating process.About YouWere looking for someone who is passionate about quality improvement in childrens services and has the ability to inspire others through strong leadership and mentorship.To Be Successful In This Role, Youll HaveA tertiary qualification in Community Services, Early Childhood Education, Teaching, Disability, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated experience in leading inclusion and diversity initiatives within childcare or children''s services.Strong understanding of applicable legislation, Education and Care Services National Regulations, and the National Quality Framework.Proven leadership and team engagement capabilities.Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.Experience working with children with disabilities and/or high or complex needs.What We OfferCompetitive salary package (commensurate with experience)Vehicle, mobile phone, and laptop provided17.5% annual leave loadingGenerous staff discounts across all YMCA OSHC and Early Learning servicesAccess to employee benefits, including discounts on retail and wellbeing productsFree YMCA gym membership, including group fitness classesOpportunities to contribute to broader Y community programsAccess to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)How To ApplyClick the APPLY button to submit your resume and cover letter, outlining how your skills and experience align with the selection criteria.Our Commitment to SafeguardingRequiredAt the Y, we are committed to empowering all children and young people to feel safe and be safe.
