This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides maintenance services to over 18,000 public housing dwellings for the Department of Communities, including Aboriginal communities in remote locations throughout the State.Benefits Provided$90K + $20K Housing Allowance + SuperJob security, working in an essential Government Sector located in Port HedlandVehicle, Uniforms / PPE providedAn Employee Assistance Program, which incorporates a range of support and counselling services for any issue, personal or work relatedKey ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Branch Supervisor, the Trade Assistants are primarily responsible for assisting our Trades Team with the completion of general or reactive maintenance across contracts facilities.Duties include supporting:Completion of any general maintenance and installation of cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildingsInstallation, repair and general maintenance of pipes, valves, fittings and drainage systemsInstallation, repair and general maintenance of lighting fixtures, switches and switchboards, including general roughing in/outUse hand tools, machines, or power saws as requiredFollow safety data sheets for cleaning chemicalsFollow established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environmentAbout YouTo join our team, you will be an experienced Tradesperson who has experience in a domestic or commercial environment, has excellent attention to detail and a strength for delivering a high quality service without compromise. The incumbent is a key person within the Team, promoting staff morale while displaying a can do and Team Player attitude.
