This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides maintenance services to over 18,000 public housing dwellings for the Department of Communities, including Aboriginal communities in remote locations throughout the State.Benefits Provided$90K + $20K Housing Allowance + SuperJob security, working in an essential Government Sector located in Port HedlandVehicle, Uniforms / PPE providedAn Employee Assistance Program, which incorporates a range of support and counselling services for any issue, personal or work relatedKey ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Branch Supervisor, the Trade Assistants are primarily responsible for assisting our Trades Team with the completion of general or reactive maintenance across contracts facilities.Duties include supporting:Completion of any general maintenance and installation of cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildingsInstallation, repair and general maintenance of pipes, valves, fittings and drainage systemsInstallation, repair and general maintenance of lighting fixtures, switches and switchboards, including general roughing in/outUse hand tools, machines, or power saws as requiredFollow safety data sheets for cleaning chemicalsFollow established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environmentAbout YouTo join our team, you will be an experienced Tradesperson who has experience in a domestic or commercial environment, has excellent attention to detail and a strength for delivering a high quality service without compromise. The incumbent is a key person within the Team, promoting staff morale while displaying a can do and Team Player attitude. Additionally, you will provide first-class customer service whilst maintaining a commitment to the safety of yourself and others at all times.Additionally, you will possess:Experiencer working on major commercial or industrial works (desirable), including exposure to Carpentry, Electrical and Plumbing related work tasksCleaning experience (desirable)Construction White Card (mandatory)HRWL (LF) License (desirable)VALID C ClassAustralian Working RightsAbility to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol ScreeningCurrent satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)First Aid training and Trade based competencies (desirable)Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:Advanced Systems and Technology experience i.e., MS Office, online/web-based Workorder Management Software (Loc8) and Safety, Payroll & Training requirements,Ability to work in a Team; be a self-motivator and take instructions.Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills.Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others, at all times.About UsProgrammed Facility Management is a leading provider of asset management, facilities maintenance and project management services across a multitude of industries.
