The roleCockburn Cement currently has an opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong decision-making ability to join the team at our Kwinana site in Western Australia in a 12 month fixed term full time role on a weekly rotating roster, alternating morning and afternoon. Mornings 5:30am - 1:30pm, Afternoons 1:30pm - 9:30pm, Monday to Friday only.Our Plant Operators safely and correctly operate Forklifts within a warehouse facility as well as state of the art High speed Cement and Lime packaging equipment.If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive team, where your contribution will be valued, then this is the job for you.ResponsibilitiesEnsure safety, health and environment standards are maintainedMaintain safe and correct execution of product sampling and testingEnsuring adequate stock holding is maintained across the operation in regard to consumables and finished products.Liaising with Customer service team to ensure customer orders are met.Undertake housekeeping, basic maintenance and general labour dutiesReport Incidents/hazards to the supervisorWhat you will need to succeedHigh Risk Work Licence LFSAP, LDMS & AMPLA experience desirableDemonstrated experience in operating mobile plant and/or heavy equipmentAbility to operate state of the art high speed automated equipment.Safe and correct operation of a forklift to safely load packaged materials onto customer vehiclesStrong mechanical aptitudeStrong commitment to health and safetyOur businessCockburn Cement is the leading Western Australian manufacturer of cement, lime and packaged cement and drymix products.
