It is versatile with its individual companies distributed throughout various locations in SA.Due to continuous growth, we have a requirement for an experienced Diesel or Light Vehicle Mechanic.Des''s Group is an organisation that understands the importance of people and quality within its business and provides a unique opportunity for the right person to become an integral part of its friendly and supportive team.Reporting directly to the Operations Manager this position will have the responsibilities for the following:Provide a professional level of service in-line with company policies and proceduresDeliver a high level of service providing a reliable maintenance program, in conjunction with repairs and breakdown support.Ensure smart working practices are followed to contribute to ensuring and maintaining a smooth running of the daily operations of the company/workshopPromote and portray a positive image for the CompanyTo be helpful, polite knowledgeable and resourcefulProvide and maintain a safe workplace in accordance with OHS policies and proceduresTo be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:Trade qualified Diesel or Light Vehicle MechanicHas own reliable transport and toolsHolds a current driver''s license (LR class preferred but not essential)Demonstrates well-developed personal communication skillsHas good record keeping skillsPossess the ability to work in a team environment.Ability to prioritise work commitmentsHas the ability to listen and communicate wellDemonstrates an ability to remain calm under pressureHas the ability to assist with apprentice training if required.Possesses a strong focus on Workplace Health and Safety and can show a proven safety recordThis is your opportunity to make your mark on the continued success of Des''s Group!In return you will be part of a family-owned business, who is dedicated to developing their people.Diesel or Light Vehicle Mechanic is a rewarding and responsible position within a growing dynamic company.The position is initially offered on a casual basis for the probation period of three months, at which time a review will be performed with the view to offering the position on a permanent basis to the right applicant.Please be sure to include a covering letter addressing the key criteria set out in the Job Description included to the right of the Job Details shown here as the first page of your resume.This is an excellent opportunity.
