Add expected salary to your profile for insightsAn exciting opportunity for a Linehaul Assistant has become available at our Albury branchReporting to the Linehaul Supervisor, the purpose of the role is to assist the operations and customer service teams to meet and exceed customer service requirements whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant operational business procedures including safety, cost management, revenue protection and all legal requirements.Duties:Raise and enter damage reports and ERs into Transport Suite and notify customer service for any follow up action as well as notifying relevant employees for improvement.Manage and action discrepancy bay on a daily basis.Ensure that freight without data is reported immediately and that notes are added to Transport Suite.Manage all freight re-directs and return to sender consignments.Manage all outbound data entry and manifesting making sure its 100% accurate.Manage nightly data file imports and failures in a timely manner.Investigate and minimise all missing and damaged freight and ensure communication is maintained regularly with Fleet Allocators to ensure the located freight is then delivered.Skills and Experience:Proven experience investigating missing or damaged freight, communicating outcomes, and following up with relevant internal stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to step into various support roles (e.g. fleet allocator, pallet controller, booking clerk) during staff absences or peak periods.Strong attention to detail with experience in accurate outbound data entry, manifest creation, and freight reconciliation.Experience dealing with customers and coordinating with internal teams to manage collections, returns, and schedule adherenceJoin a team that delivers excellence every timeAt Border Express, weve been setting the standard for exceptional service and results for over 40 years.
