The program aims to provide trauma-informed recovery care for victim-survivors of family, domestic and sexual violence.You are a subject matter expert and will provide quality client-centered counselling and supervision with some leadership in your team and stream that meets the needs of our employees, clients and families and is consistent with BaptistCares Purpose and Values.About You:You will be an experienced Senior Counsellor who has a genuine passion for working within the community. The successful applicant will bring:Tertiary qualifications in relevant human services (e.g. Psychology, Counselling) with a minimum 3 years experienceClinical Membership of relevant professional body (e.g. PACFA or ACA)Experience in trauma informed practiceDemonstrated experience & skills in counselling and group workDemonstrated experience in leadershipExperience in the Domestic and Family Violence sectorDemonstrated experience & skills in counselling and group work within an agency settingDemonstrated experience relating to diverse stakeholders, e.g. Government departments & other non-government organisationsDemonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCares Christian identity and promote the organisations values through interactions at workDemonstrated understanding of inclusive, respectful practice when working with First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, LGBTIA+ and people with disabilitiesWorking with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)Willing to undergo a Police CheckDemonstrated experience & skills in individual and group settings with those experiencing Domestic ViolencePost graduate qualifications in a speciality area e.g. Play Therapy, child counsellingAbout Us:We are proud to be part of the merged care organisation that will be known nationally as BaptistCare.
