Our operations cater specifically to aged care clients from the Canberra region.Built 32 years ago as a purpose built site for respite care for Canberrans; we are here to facilitate early discharge from hospital or to prevent admissions where we can by providing a safe and supported care facility for temporary care and to facilitate carer relief for a day or a block of time.Burrangiri is a cosy, comfortable home with a massive garden and a large north facing Sun Room. Burrangiri is conveniently located with access to public transport and ample parking at the Rivett Shops and only 5 minutes from Woden Town Centre. Burrangiri links in with many community and hospital based services to ensure the continuity of care here on site.We are looking for a Part-Time Administration Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team.About The RoleOversight and provide professional, responsive reception services during core business hours, ensuring a clean and tidy, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors.Maintain effective administrative systems for producing required correspondence, reports and filing including resident and staff files, ensuring timely reporting and up-to date filing.Collate resident admission and discharge documentation, following up internal and external sources as relevant to ensure timely receipt and recording of all required itemsAdminister financial processes including but not limited to receipting of resident fees and charges, preparation of claims reimbursement, accounts receivable and payable, balancing of petty cash and cash draw, banking, and finance system data entry.Coordinate office management functions including ordering office supplies and preparing for special events, liaising with relevant internal and external stakeholders as requiredAssist the Centre Manager with organising and documenting staff training, meetings, events and day-to-day administrative tasks, maintaining confidentiality while liaising with staff, residents and their families.About YouCertificate III or higher in Business Administration highly regarded.Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative role, ideally in Aged Care or Health.Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective administrative systems and processes.Proven ability to communicate effectively and to develop appropriate working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Minimum intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite.Experience using Finance and ideally, HR Information systems.Knowledge of the Aged Care industry would be an advantage.BenefitsAdministration Assistant at The Salvation Army Aged Care enjoy:Above Award wages + super + allowances & shift penaltiesAccess to generous Not For Profit salary packaging of up to $15,900 per year (also for casuals)Access to meal and entertainment benefits of up to $2,650 through salary packagingWe will support you to achieve work-life balanceUp to 12 weeks Paid parental leaveSalvos Wellness - Access to Fitness PassportNovated car leasingLearning and development to support you in your roleScholarships via Eva Burrows CollegeSupported study optionsComprehensive Employee Assistance ProgramCareer progression opportunitiesTransfer opportunities we are in every major city in AustraliaMaking an impact socially and environmentally with one of the most loved charities in AustraliaThe Salvation Army is an Equal Opportunity Employer who provides an inclusive work environment and embraces the diverse talent of its people.
