As the Community and Engagement Officer, you will support the Community and Cultural Services Coordinator to deliver Councils goals by working closely with the community.In this role, you will help plan and deliver inclusive engagement activities, support recreational and cultural programs, and build strong connections with people of all ages. You will work with a range of stakeholders to help create a vibrant, connected and resilient community.This role also helps strengthen Councils reputation and contributes to positive outcomes for the community.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the development, promotion and coordination of engagement activities, including community consultations, forums, workshops, and events, to build positive relationships and encourage active participation from all age groups;Help collect and analyse community feedback to identify local priorities and emerging issues, and provide input into program and service delivery improvements;Foster partnerships by working collaboratively with local organisations, sporting clubs, schools, and community groups to enhance program reach, resource sharing, and community outcomes; andAssist in the preparation of community engagement plans and reports, contributing to the design and documentation of strategies that improve transparency, participation, and community satisfaction;See the Position Description for a more extensive list of key responsibilities.Our Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a motivated and community-minded individual who enjoys building strong relationships and making a real difference through meaningful engagement.
