Job Description

Your high-level Bookkeeping skills are required for a southern-based business. Your new company, an Australian-owned and operated enterprise, is seeking a Bookkeeper to join an expanding and thriving finance team. Your new role Client Liaison & Support - Act as the primary contact for an allocated portfolio via phone, email, and virtual meetings. Anticipate ad hoc admin requests such as data entry, document management, or reporting to assist clients. Collaborate with internal advisors to suggest process improvements or system enhancements. Payroll Processing - Manage end-to-end payroll (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) for various industries. Calculate wages, allowances, deductions, and leave accruals. Ensure timely superannuation payments and full ATO compliance. Complete Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting and manage year-end procedures. Accounts Payable & Receivable - Generate, code, and process supplier invoices, match purchase orders, and schedule payments. Issue client invoices, follow up on overdue debts, and maintain accurate ageing reports. Reconcile statements, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies. Bank Reconciliations & Cashflow Management - Reconcile multiple bank, credit card, and loan accounts regularly. Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts, proactively flagging shortfalls or surpluses. Process electronic bank payments, direct debits, and transfers as per client instructions. What you''ll get in return Join a supportive, motivated team in a fast-paced environment. What you''ll need to succeed Minimum 3 years'' hands-on bookkeeping experience in a practice or in-house setting. Cert IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting (or equivalent) is highly regarded. Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines. Outstanding communication skills, a client-first attitude, and a professional demeanor.
