Bethanie Peel is a warm and welcoming 50-bed facility set amongst landscaped gardens, with a personalized memory support area.If you share our passion for person-centred therapy services and promoting a positive ageing experience for older people, we would love to hear from you!In this role, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of customer-centred therapy and lifestyle programs, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to improve the quality of life of our residents.This role is offered on a fixed-term part-time basis, with the successful applicant working 13 hours per week until 23 February 2026, with the potential for extension. The roster is negotiable with the successful applicant and can be discussed further at interview.Our Therapy Team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, a Senior Dietitian, and a Senior Speech Pathologist. The Therapy Team is further supported by a full-time Allied Health Manager. Additionally, this role will be directly supported by a Senior Therapy Team Lead with over a decade of experience as an Occupational Therapist in aged care.We will consider applicants at all levels of seniority, so those with less experience or new graduates are encouraged to apply, as we can offer clinical support and professional development opportunities tailored to you. This is your chance to gain some exposure to the rewarding sector of aged care!About YouCurrent full, unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational TherapistRelevant experience in an aged care environment or supporting people living with dementia is an advantage, but not essentialBe relatable and able to share knowledge in a way that supports change at all levelsHigh level of negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skillsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsAble to manage a complex workload and adapt to fast-changing priorities and environmentsCustomer-focused and effective in working with a broad range of stakeholdersEffective communication skills, including strong verbal and written abilities, and interpersonal skillsWillingness to uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of The Bethanie GroupWillingness to obtain relevant vaccinationsCurrent NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one)About the Role:Complete therapy assessments and respond to clinical referralsPlan and implement individual or group therapeutic activities, working with an interdisciplinary team to maintain an effective referral system and coordinate therapy implementationDirect and coordinate Therapy AssistantsMaintain appropriate clinical documentation and information systemsContribute to a multidisciplinary program of continuous improvementIncorporate aged care quality standards into all servicesSynthesize information through observation and written documentation to provide relationship-centred, evidence-based recommendationsUndertake a range of assessments to understand the holistic experience of the personWorking with BethanieMany of us work because we want to make a difference.
