See where your commitment could take you.As the HSE Manager you will be the senior interface responsible for strategically leading the regional HSE Team and working in cooperation with the APAC HSE Manager and Enterprise Manager HSE. The position plays a pivotal role in cultivating a strong HSE culture while implementing the HSE Management System to achieve continual improvement and legal compliance.You will be tasked with championing HSE engagement across our network, have responsibility for developing and implementing HSE strategies to protect the health and safety of our staff, prevent environmental, instill a strong HSE culture, and enable the business to efficiently win and deliver projectsWorking w ith an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:Coach and mentor internal clients, including HSE Coordinators, in the effective implementation of the HSE Management systemWork as part of the APAC Leadership Team to develop, deliver and monitor HSE strategiesAudit implementation of the HSE System to achieve continual improvement and maintain external certificationsManage the timely investigation of incident and hazard reports, including monitoring the effectiveness of corrective actionsUndertake project audits, site and office inspections, including ergonomic assessmentsConduct reviews of risk management documentation prepared for GHD site activitiesReview implementation of subcontractor management and safety in design processesMonitor training needs analysis, training completion and develop and deliver trainingAnalyse trends in HSE performance and make recommendations to managementCoordinate Crisis and Emergency Management activitiesManage workers compensation claims and coordinate health monitoring requirementsWork with our project teams to enable the efficient winning and safe delivery of a diverse range of client projectsWhat you will bring to the team:Diploma, Advanced Diploma or greater tertiary qualifications in a Health and Safety related discipline is desirable10 years experience in a similar role, including site safety experienceExperience with ISO45001, and ISO 14001 certificationsThorough understanding of current HSE issues and demonstrated experience in the interpretation and practical application of relevant HSE and related legislation and statutory requirements in a large and complex business environmentHigh-level analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and decisiveness with problem solvingExcellent written and oral communications skills, including consultation and negotiation, and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and influence people at all levels in both the internal and external environmentDemonstrated experience in designing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on HSE initiatives and undertaking HSE inspections and incident investigationsHigh level of experience identifying HSE requirements in proposals and contractsAbility to manage the risks associated with engaging contractorsExperience in the development and delivery of HSE training and presentationsAuditor qualifications and experienceThe ability to travel to GHD offices and sites throughout Queensland and Northern Territory is critical for this position. Occasional travel outside of region may also be required.This role can be located in any of GHDs offices in Queensland and the Northern Territory.Interested?
