This is a full-time role in our Melbourne office. Flexible work arrangements available.In this role, you will support a busy Lawyer in the team with all administrative tasks, as well as other duties, that will includeProviding a great level of care and support to our clients in a professional mannerBuilding strong relationships with our clients, internal and external stakeholdersSupporting the team with general files management and administrationCoordinating appointments for our lawyers, medico-legal appointments for our clients, conferences and mediationsCommunicating with clients, insurers and other professionals both in writing and verballyPreparing legal correspondence and compiling court documentsPreparing matters for conferences and hearingsMentoring and training legal support staffWhat will you bring?You will be an experienced Legal Assistant with a passion for social justice and generating positive outcomes for clients. The following experience and skills will ensure your success in this positionPrevious experience in legal support or business administrationA natural passion for helping people and high level of empathyExceptional experience in communication and customer serviceExcellent written and drafting skillsRecognise the importance of attention to detail and time managementDemonstrated organisational skills and the ability to multi-taskAbility to work autonomously as well as in a team environmentA willingness to learnProactive approach and initiativeAvailable to work 38 hours per week, between the hours of 8 30am 5pm Monday to Friday.What next?If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly to Slater and Gordon.
