ECONO-CRETE IS LOOKING FOR A DYNAMIC AND ENERGISED STAFF MEMBER TO OPERATE A DIVISION OF 4 TRUCKS AND 4 PREFAMAX TRAILERS. THIS POSITION WOULD SUIT A TRUCK DRIVER LOOKING TO TRANSITION INTO A MANAGEMENT ROLE.You will be responsible for:CORE DUTIESo Must have HC Licence and Current Drivers Medical and be able to drive a vehicle when neededo Sales and quoting and new client developmento Hands-on role operationally, small business unit, fill in as required with truck drivingo Responsible for the coordination of equipment and personnel resources to ensure effective and efficient Administrative operations of the businesso Plan and schedule worko Prepare load restraint plans as requiredo Prepare and distribute daily work sheetso Ensure Daily Hire Dockets are collected at the end of each shifto Cost Daily Hire Dockets and authorised quoteso Prepare weekly resource utilisation reporto Develop and Manage small workforce, 4 -6 employeeso Recruit and interview driversSAFETY AND TRAININGAssist wherever possible to ensure the overall health, safety and welfare of all personnel, contractors, and visitors within the workplaceo Actively promote, review, and adhere to the HSE systemo Ensure all work practices are carried out in as safe a manner and always comply with all applicable legislation and Occupational Health Safety and Environmental (OHS&E) policies/procedures, to achieve a zero tolerance of unsafe practiceso Escalate all safety incidents correctly in line with safety escalation processQUALITY ASSURANCE AND CONTROLAlways comply with all aspects of quality policies and procedures.Insist that all products or services provided to clients consistently meet the strict quality standards established by the Company.EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, LICENCESMinimum of 3 years experience in the transport or logistics industryHC Drivers licenceGood knowledge of the chain of responsibility and heavy vehicle regulationsHeavy vehicle load restraint trainingDESIRABLEPre-cast industry knowledgeNationally recognised supervisor-level trainingNationally recognised OH&S trainingHave high-level competency in computer software (Microsoft Office, MYOB, Transport & Fleet Management, GPS Tracking)PERSONAL ATTRIBUTESAbility to provide leadership with good Decision-making skills and Analytical and problem-solving skills.
