For application instructions and mandatory requirements, please refer to the attached Role Description.Your opportunityDeliver high-level, comprehensive occupational therapy clinical skills and leadership to provide effective and efficient treatment to a caseload spanning the continuum of care and the life spectrum. This position works across all areas of the Whitsunday Health Service, as determined by the Health Service Plan and priorities.This position is based at Proserpine Hospital and provides inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services. When required, services can also be provided from the Community Health Centre at Cannonvale.The position reports operationally to the Director of Nursing of the Whitsunday Health Service and professionally to the District Director of Occupational Therapy.About The TeamThe Mackay Hospital and Health Service provides public health services to clients across facilities in Mackay, Sarina, Proserpine, Cannonvale, Clermont, Dysart, Moranbah, Collinsville, Bowen, Middlemount, and Glenden. Facilities outside Mackay are part of the Division of Rural Services, offering acute, aged care, community, allied health, and mental health services.The Whitsunday Health Service comprises two facilities: The Community Health Campus Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus Proserpine. The Community Health Campus offers various community health services through a multidisciplinary team. The hospital is a 35-bed acute facility providing inpatient and outpatient services.
