Purpose of Classification The purpose of this classification is to perform office support work requiring comprehensive office and clerical skills and experience. Essential Functions Utilizes administrative and technical office skills and knowledge of Agency policy, practices, and procedures to provide office support: answers telephones, directs calls, handles calls when necessary, organizes and maintains files and records, provides information to the public, and prepares routine correspondence. Operates automated information processing equipment to prepare reports, purchase orders, budgets, and correspondence; coordinates office functions with other departments; manages office supplies and equipment. Assists in planning events, making reservations, obtaining supplies and catering, setting up for meetings and banquets, and managing audio/visual equipment and seating arrangements. Attends meetings, trainings, conferences, seminars, and workshops for professional development. Performs other related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred; three years of office administration experience in a large Social Services Agency or related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience. Additional Requirements Successful completion of employment assessments including fingerprinting, drug testing, medical exams, and background checks.
