Reporting to the Supervisor Electrical Maintenance, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day electrical maintenance team in technical problem solving. You will also be responsible for reliability and improvement of electrical assets at the Port fixed plant facilities, mentoring the current maintenance team through on-the-job training.Duties:Respond to high priority breakdowns and serve as the first point of escalationConfiguration & troubleshooting of field devices (Protection Relays, VSDs, Instrumentation, etc)Participate in technical reviews and redline drawingsPerform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) during shutdowns for the electrical teamProvide technical support for non-priority breakdownsAssist Trainer Assessor Electrical with creating a training structure for upskilling Electrical Maintainer team membersSkills & Experience:Experience in Electrical Maintenance and Plant InstrumentationExperience in the use of SCADA, PLC, HMI, and other plant control systemsCurrent WA Electrical Licence and HV Switching Ticket essentialCertificate in instrumentation is desirableExperience with HV and LV power systems & Field DevicesPort Hedland Facilities:Modern, comfortable camp accommodationConvenient walking access to South Hedland town facilities and shopsHigh quality gourmet food options (vegan, gluten free and healthy options)Fully equipped fitness centre facilityIn-room entertainment with comprehensive content and own-device casting capabilityActive social club with community events and activities for employeesLifestyle, Learning and Recreation initiative which provide events for your familyVillage shop and extensive supporting amenitiesAbout Hancock Iron OreThe world of iron ore is evolving, and so are we.Atlas Iron and Roy Hill have joined forces to become Hancock Iron Ore, building on our combined strengths of resilience and innovation.Our portfolio of world-class iron ore operations located in West Australias Pilbara region has a strong history of delivering reliable products for our customers in key international markets.
