In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. Harmony is currently preparing to progress the Execution Phase of the Eva Copper Mine Project in Queensland, Australia. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.Role Overview: Reporting to the Accounts Team Leader, you will manage the end-to-end accounts payable function for Harmony Australasia.Key Responsibilities:Enter AUD and foreign currency invoices for multiple companies.Process and upload payments to the bank.Prepare weekly payments and remittances.Document invoices, payments, and supplier reconciliations.Conduct monthly reporting and reconciliations.Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and payment status.Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.Generate reports related to accounts payable activities.Qualifications and Experience:Experience with foreign exchange.Experience working within a large company.Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining industry.Proficiency in computerized accounting systems; Pronto/Redmap experience is desirable.Advanced Microsoft Office skills.High attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Personal Attributes:Self-motivated and proactive.Strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Benefits of Working for Harmony:Eligibility to participate in the company bonus scheme.Corporate/discounted rates with Medibank and Qantas Club.Access to Harmonys benefits discount scheme.Opportunity to work for an international mining company with a diverse workforce.If you believe you have the skills, knowledge, and experience to fulfill this role, please submit your application online.
