Opportunities for multi-skilling within the department are available, with the potential for advancement into leadership roles.This full-time position requires the ability to work a rotating shift schedule:Day Shift: 6:00 AM 2:00 PMAfternoon Shift: 2:00 PM 10:00 PMNight Shift: 10 PM 6 AMThis Is a Leadership Role With The Following ResponsibilitiesCoordinating production for your shift (day, afternoon, or night shift)Ensuring shift tasks are completed and coordination of shift hand-overAssisting in troubleshootingTraining and supervising staffAssisting with operations when neededTraining staff in operating mineral sample preparation equipment (sample sorting, drying, weighing samples using a balance and lims system, crushing samples, etc.)The EssentialsAn understanding of the sample preparation process or experience with ALS systemsA demonstrable experience in the lab industryAbility to work with minimum supervisionAbility to lead, supervise and instruct team membersBe flexible and able to multi-taskAvailability to work rotating shiftsExcellent communication, organization, and time management skillsA strong commitment to safety and client serviceExcellent attention to detailThis is a challenging role, and although safety and quality of work must be maintained, the ability to work at a pace that suits the demands of the position is essential.Working at ALSThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.Our values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.At ALS, youll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
