This includes the diversionary program Balund-a which provides support to male residents.Balund-a plays a vital role in supporting the strategic objective of CSNSW by providing accommodation to residents who have been diverted by the judicial system to undertake a diversionary program.Residents are accommodated for a period of six months and during that time, are provided with a high level of reintegration support through combined case management, provision of reintegration services and service linkage in collaboration with other stakeholders.Alongside other reintegration goals, the centres also support residents to participate in education, employment and programs on and off site, to build practical skills for long term success in the community.What Youll DoAs part of this role, the ideal candidate will be required to provide a high level of support to senior executive and work teams with the successful delivery of correctional administrative duties to ensure effective operation of the work area.The successful candidate will be responsible for, however is not limited to the following:Ability to undertake a variety of correctional administrative activities for and on behalf of the Manager and / or a work team with or without collaboration of relevant stakeholders to ensure activities are completed effectively; records updated, feedback provided, and inquiries clarified as required.Ability to maintain manual and computerized records pertaining to the work area, accurately and securely ensuring these are accessible.Ability to respond efficiently to all inquiries by stakeholders, customers and clients, escalating and referring, if necessary to the relevant areas in accordance with the local practice and protocol.Ability to generate routine correspondence with a view to exchanging factual information whilst exercising discretion and judgment at all times, seeking supervisory direction as necessary.Knowledge of Aboriginal issues and a commitment to work effectively with Aboriginal colleagues, residents and communities.Knowledge of the criminal justice system.What Were Looking ForCurrent driver licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role, preferably a LR LicenceCurrent First Aid CertificatePlease click here to review the role descriptionWe focus on hiring people who share our commitment and goals of inclusion, collaboration, adaptability, courage and integrity.
