The Learning Enhancement Teaching Assistant role works closely with classroom teachers to provide targeted assistance to Learning Enhancement students in the Secondary campus, facilitating language development and academic success. Please note that this position is a full time, term time role with hours 8am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.To be successful you will be committed to getting the best outcome for all students with a focus on implementing strategies that assist in meeting their needs. You are able to communicate and work with a broad range of people in a professional manner. You will be able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLiaise with teaching staff to provide 1:1 or small group support to reinforce learning concepts and foster academic progress and social-emotional developmentHave a broad understanding of each topic each student is studying to be able to offer appropriate supportKeep organised records of resources and adjustments provided to inform ongoing student support needsAssist students with their organisation of assignment work and homeworkOffer in-class feedback to students on assignment work and class workBecome familiar with the students listed on the class list requiring additional support.
