Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences is currently seeking a Fire Investigator in the Halifax, Nova Scotia area who is dynamic, motivated, and passionate about their career to support our expansion in South Western Ontario. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing forensic fire investigations to determine the origin and cause of structure and vehicle fires. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is required. Good presentation skills are an asset. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders. Responsibilities: Assess, analyze, and report on the origin and cause of fires. Interview witnesses, service personnel, and officials. Conduct inspections of roofs, attics, crawlspaces, damaged buildings, and elevated structures. Recognize potential subrogation opportunities. Work at heights and in various temperatures, assessing safety of fire-damaged structures. Lead projects from start to finish. Provide clear, accurate, and timely reports. Qualifications: Minimum CFEI, CFI, or CVFI certification, or ability to become certified. 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in fire investigation or equivalent. Experience in the insurance and legal industries. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). Strong understanding of the Fire Code. Class G drivers license or equivalent. Positive, self-driven attitude with a passion for supporting marketing and sales efforts. Customer-facing experience, capable of discussing project budgets and maintaining communication.
