Trade AssistantWeir MineralsRockhamptonOnsitePurpose of Role: As the Trade Assistant, you will assist with various task within the branch such as painting and dressing of pumps, assisting the Fitters with manual tasks, and supporting stores with tasks such as receipting and dispatching of goods and all other tasks that support the daily running of the workshop.Offering a family friendly Monday to Friday roster and much more:Monday - Thursday 6am - 2.30pmFriday 6am - 12pmOvertime available weeklyAll uniforms, tools and PPE provided.Above industry standard superannuation of 12.5%Key Responsibilities:Painting and dressing of pumps, fitting guard seals, running lube lines to bearings.Supporting fitters with compliance documentation, reports and various other tasksParts handling picking, packing, and preparing accumin kitsLiaise with other departments of the Service Division as requiredSafety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Experience in similar role in heavy industry/equipment and/or manufacturingExperience in prepping, spray painting and dressing of equipment and parts handling - desirableHighrisk Forklift ticket requiredOverhead crane and doggers highly regardedWell developed written and verbal communicationAbility to work within a team and unsupervisedWhy choose Weir:Be part of a global organization dedicated to building a better future: At Weir, the growing world depends on us.
