Referee Development & Operations CoordinatorTouch Football Australia (TFA) is the national governing body for Touch Football and operates in strategic partnership with the National Rugby League (NRL). Now, were looking for someone to join our WA team to lead referee education and operations with energy, purpose, and community connection.About the RoleAs the Referee Development & Operations Coordinator, youll lead the rollout of our new Referee Education and Development Framework across Western Australia.This role will play a critical part in growing and retaining our referee workforce, ensuring referees at all levels, from grassroots to representative, receive the training, support, and progression opportunities they need.You will work closely with affiliates, referee directors, and national staff to embed best practices and deliver a high-quality referee experience across the state.Key ResponsibilitiesFramework ImplementationRoll out TFAs Referee Education and Development Framework across WADevelop and deliver implementation plans and measurable outcomesAdapt national resources for local application while maintaining consistencyEducation & TrainingCoordinate and deliver Affiliate Referee courses and workshopsSupport referee accreditation and training pathwaysRecruit and develop a panel of local course facilitators and referee coach educatorsPathway DevelopmentBuild structured pathways from affiliate to representative levelSupport referee grading at events and develop high-potential officialsEnhance mentorship programs like RADAR to support referee growthStakeholder EngagementCollaborate with affiliate clubs, referee directors, and volunteersPromote referee recruitment and retention across the touch football communityRepresent WA in national referee development forumsProgram EvaluationMonitor referee participation, retention, and progressionProvide regular reporting and contribute to continuous improvementWhat Youll NeedExperience in sports officiating, development, or administrationStrong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skillsHigh-level organisational and self-management skillsKnowledge of officiating principles (Touch Football preferred but not essential)Ability to deliver training and development programsCurrent Working with Children Check and Drivers LicenceWillingness to travel regionally and work outside standard hours when requiredDesirable QualificationsTertiary qualifications in sport management or related disciplineCurrent or past Touch Football referee accreditationFamiliarity with modern officiating principles and the Australian Physical Literacy FrameworkHow to ApplyClick Apply Now to submit your resume and a brief cover letter addressing the key selection criteria.Please note: Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
