Take on big challenges and grow, through mentorship, collaboration and empowerment.Thiess is the place to make things happen.About the roleThiess is seeking Auto Electricians/Electricians for the exciting new Muswellbrook Coal Mine Rehabilitation Project, situated just outside of Muswellbrook. You will be part of small crews and will work a lifestyle roster 10.50 dayshift, and every 12 weeks you will only work 8 afternoon shifts.You will perform general day-to-day service work, and support the installation and maintenance of the machine guidance technology and fleet monitoring systems. This is a great opportunity to advance your knowledge and skills in this area.In this role, you will:Perform general servicing, repair and maintenance on mobile mining equipment (Preferable experience in CAT and Hitachi equipment)Perform maintenance and installation of Fleet Monitoring System (FMS), Machine Guidance Technology, cameras, digital radio and wireless networks infrastructure within the mineRun data, power, radio and GPS antenna cables through bulkhead, panels and access both inside and outside production equipment compartments on heavy mining machineryProvide high quality installations including mountings, wiring and testing of equipmentEnsure all activities are completed in a safe mannerAbout youTrade qualified Auto Electrician or Electrical Trade Certificate of Proficiency with post trade experience in the mining industrySound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007Electrical supervisors/contractors license as issued by the Department of Fair TradingPost-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industryExperience in high voltage equipment maintenanceExperience in maintaining and fault finding on large mining equipment, automotive electrical, solar systems, wireless networks, machine monitoring systems and GPS systemsWhat Thiess can do for youPermanent full-time positionsThiess commitment to training & developmentSalary sacrifice options novated leasingRange of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products2 Year ContractCompetitive Remuneration PackageAttractive Bonus paid at the completion of contractAbout usThiess works with clients in Australia, Asia and the Americas in the dynamic field of open-cut and underground mining.The pioneering spirit of our founders the legendary Thiess brothers is our legacy, and inspires our vision to harness the power of people and technology to drive sustainable change.At Thiess, you will have the opportunity to play a part in the global energy transition.
