Brooks Hire commenced in 1979 and is a family owned company with branches nationwide.With over 5000 pieces of machinery in the hire fleet, Brooks Hire is one of the largest privately owned hire companies in Australia providing services to the civil and mining industries.We are currently seeking a Full time Trades Assistant in our Kalgoorlie branch. Reporting directly to the Workshop Foreman, you will be responsible for the cleaning/detailing of our earthmoving equipment.Please note this is a local based role and FIFO employment will not be considered for the role.What we can offer you:Immediate start for the right applicantA great working environment and atmospherePermanent full time role.A full time apprentice position may be offered in the futureMain Responsibilities/duties will include:Detailing and cleaning equipment to the required standards on a tight scheduleIdentify any issues and communicate these with your supervisorEnsure all tools and equipment are kept in good working orderAssisting the tradesmen with various tasks as requiredRequirements:Current Driver''s LicenceMay need to occasionally work weekends/flexible hoursPrevious detailing experience (preferred but not essential)Previous experience working around heavy duty equipment (preferred but not essential)Mechanically minded person that can use hand toolsForklift / High risk work licenses (desirable)An understanding of OH&S regulationsBe able to pass a Medical including a Drug & Alcohol testAbility to work well in a fast paced environmentGood organisation skills to work efficientlyAbility to work autonomouslyBe physically fit and be able to lift heavy objectsIf this sounds like you hit the "apply" button now or for more information please contact us.Brooks Hire is an equal opportunity employer.
