We integrate a complete range of thermal and renewable fuel sources to deliver cost-effective and reliable solutions for clients.Description:Zenith Energy is seeking a confident leader and commercially minded Hybrid Power Station Manager. The successful candidate will oversee the operations of a power plant that utilises multiple energy sources, including solar, wind, batteries, and traditional fossil fuels, to generate electricity.This role is predominantly based in our Rivervale head office, with approximately one week per month required on-site.The primary responsibilities of this role include managing the safe, reliable, and efficient generation, distribution, and billing of power. You will provide leadership and technical support to your teams and engage with internal support functions to optimise the operation of the power station.As the Hybrid Power Generation Manager, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and collaborate with various teams to ensure optimal plant performance.Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Provide strong, visible, situational leadership to foster a strong culture and team spirit.Ensure personnel, asset, and environmental safety to meet client and company standards.Oversee full delivery of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) contracts and obligations, including reporting, invoicing, and interfacing with clients.Manage billing and metering activities for PPAs.Oversee PPA escalation and fuel efficiency activities, ensuring adherence to performance standards.Manage team performance and provide necessary training for staff.Collaborate with the Asset Management team for maintenance planning.Develop and monitor budgets with the Operations Manager.Monitor annual operational and maintenance budgets and pursue new business opportunities.Represent the Zenith Energy brand in stakeholder engagements.About You: As the Hybrid Power Station Manager, you should possess the following experience, knowledge, and skills:Experience:Skilled in FIFO operations and managing a site-based team, preferably in the remote power industry.Knowledgeable about HSE requirements in a heavy industry environment.Experienced in budget development.Previous management or supervisory experience in relevant industries (e.g., mining, oil & gas, heavy industry).Experience in performance management, coaching, and supervision with the ability to provide timely and constructive feedback.Skills:Strong administrative skills: organised, thorough, systems-oriented, attentive to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Ability to foster a positive culture while acting professionally and courteously.Excellent customer service skills with the capability to work effectively with diverse clients.Ability to perform well under pressure.Qualifications:10 years of experience post-trade qualification or relevant degree (a mechanical or electrical trade qualification is required).An open-class manual driver''s license.Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and Pre-employment Medical.A Qualification in Leadership or Management would be desirable.What We Offer:Competitive salaryDaily Site AllowanceInvitation to participate in Zenith''s Short-Term Incentive ProgramNovated leasing options availableFlexible work arrangements and work-life balanceState-of-the-art offices with free parking and end-of-trip facilitiesProgressive development opportunities and support for ongoing learningA supportive and collaborative work environment with a strong commitment to safety and sustainabilityIf this job aligns with your skills and experience, please click the Apply icon to submit your resume and cover letter.
