At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australias deepest underground mines.Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people including contractors.Are you passionate about parts and keen to take your automotive experience underground? Were on the lookout for a Parts Interpreter to join our Underground Stores team at the CSA Mine.This role is perfect for someone with a background in automotive retailif you''ve worked at Supercheap Auto, Repco, Epiroc, Sandvik, Westrac or in a mechanical workshop, we want to hear from you!What Youll Be Doing:Accurately interpreting and issuing parts for underground equipmentReceiving, storing, and maintaining parts inventoryAssisting underground maintenance teams with timely parts supportWorking closely with mining, maintenance, and contract teamsUpholding safety and quality standards in a mining environmentAbout You:Automotive retail or mechanical experience (e.g. Supercheap, Sandvik etc.)Strong knowledge of vehicle or equipment partsReliable, organised and safety-consciousForklift ticket or warehousing experience desirableWilling to work underground in a physically active roleConditions:This is a residential only position on a 7/7 roster. Successful candidates not already living in Cobar, will be required to relocate.Location:Located an eight-hour drive to Sydney, nine-hour drive to Melbourne, and a quick three-hour drive to Dubbo, Cobar is a fascinating town rich in mining heritage and natural attractions. The mine was closed in 1997/8 following its acquisition by Ashanti Goldfields and was reopened in 1999 by Glencore.Since 1965 the mine has extracted substantial quantities of zinc, lead, silver and copper, but today, CSA Mine focuses on mining copper, with a silver co-product.Our underground mine produces over 1.1 million tonnes of copper ore and produces in excess of 185,000 tonnes of copper concentrate per annum.
