Join the thriving team at Salter Brothers Hospitality as our first Group Beverage Operations Manager.Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, this role is responsible for growing and developing our entire beverage program across all restaurants and bars in the SBH portfolio, ensuring that all processes are streamlined, efficient, and aligned with our company goals and most importantly our vision and values.The Group Beverage Operations Manager will provide training to our on-property teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.Working closely with our Director of Restaurant and Bar Performance, this position not only supports the day-to-day operations but also plays a key role in shaping the future direction of the SBH beverage strategy.About Salter Brothers HospitalityAt Salter Brothers Hospitality, our values: Elevated, Enduring, Care, Mastery, and People People are at the heart of everything we do.Just as we create exceptional experiences for our guests, we do the same for our people. By fostering a supportive and enriching environment, we ensure that everyone feels valued and appreciated, creating an enduring and lasting impact.The role and key duties;Work with our Hotels/Retreats to design and implement a comprehensive beverage program that includes wine, spirits, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and specialty drinks;Develop seasonal and themed beverage menus that reflect current trends and guest preferences;Ensure consistency and quality of beverage offerings across all hotel properties;Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge;Lead initiatives to develop new wine, cocktail, and beverage lists and improve existing offerings;Train and mentor bar and restaurant staff on beverage knowledge, preparation, and presentation;Conduct regular training sessions on new products, techniques, and service standards;Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the beverage team;Implement inventory management practices to minimize waste and optimize stock levels;Address customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction;Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize our beverage offering and drive sales;Work closely with our Group Procurement Manager to develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors;Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures;Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and execute customer-centric strategies for activations and events;Develop and manage the beverage program budget, including cost control and revenue generation strategies;Work with our Director of Restaurants and Bars to monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive operational efficiency, identify opportunities for improvement, and maximize profitability.Essential criteria required to be considered;Minimum 5 years professional experience as F&B Manager or Group Beverage Manager in a hospitality environment, ideally luxury or high-end bars/restaurants;WSET 3 is preferred but not essential;Sound knowledge of all aspects of food and beverage, with an expertise in beverage operations;Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages;Knowledge and understanding of restaurant/bar operations, industrys legal rules and guidelines;Experience in strategy development and implementation;In-depth knowledge of the F&B marketing landscape and strategies to promote F&B venues;Proven track record of success in leading large-scale Food and Beverage operations and their teams;Strong communication and presentation skills able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing;Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;Ability to travel as and when required to all of our SBH Hotels/retreats interstate.To apply online, please click on the apply button.For a confidential discussion please contact Emma Martin, our Talent Acquisition Manager at emma.martin@salterbrothershospitality.com.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement and ManufacturingIndustriesHospitality #J-18808-Ljbffr
