The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all operational documentation, systems and procedures for Whitsunday Regional Councils airports at Proserpine, Bowen and Mt Coolon are fit for purpose and implemented with a focus on safe, effective and compliant operations.Key Responsibilities:The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the safe, secure, efficient, and compliant operation of the Whitsunday Regional Councils (WRC) airports and aerodromes at Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast Airport), Bowen, Collinsville and Mt Coolon in accordance with all relevant civil aviation regulations, national security requirements, and operational best practices. The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving operational policies, procedures, and regulatory documentation to meet both current and future operational requirements.EssentialCurrent C-class drivers license and ability to obtain an Airside Driver Authority (ADA)Experience in airport or aviation operations, including airside and landside environmentsComprehensive knowledge of relevant aviation regulations and standards (CASRs, MOS, TSP etc.)Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)DesirableCertification or qualification in Airport Safety and Security eg, Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) & Works Safety Officer (WSO) certificationsPrevious leadership or supervisory experience in an airport operations environment.Join the team:To view the position description please click on the job attachments tab above.
