Job Description

We are seeking skilled and experienced Trade Assistants to join our team at Aloca Portland Aluminium Smelter in Victoria. You will carry out remediation works for approximately 6 months, playing a crucial role in the structural integrity and maintenance across various sections of the smelter. Key Duties Perform blasting and painting tasks on structural components, including steel structures, cable tray supports, air slide supports, handrails, and gantries. Engage in encapsulation and ensure environmental safety in line with Alcoa''s Environmental Policy. Work collaboratively with a team of experts employing scaffolding and rope access techniques. About You Local applicants from the Portland region are strongly encouraged to apply. Proven experience as a Trade Assistant within a heavy industrial setting. Driver Licence. High Risk Work Licence LF, WP desirable. Working at Heights experience within the last 2 years. Construction White Card. Please note a rigorous pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening will be conducted for short-listed candidates. What We Offer 12-hour days, 1 day on, 1 day off (fortnightly). 4 weeks on 2 weeks off cycle.
