Job Description

The Team: Facilities Management and Engineering Services team consist of multiple trade groups performing planned and reactive maintenance in the Southern region of Tasmania. The team works closely with internal trade staff and administration staff to maintain healthcare buildings. The Role: Perform effective facilities maintenance, repairs, and improvements, including planning and organising repair tasks. The Maintenance Coordinator is expected to exercise initiative and judgment, working autonomously across various Southern Health Facilities. Provide advice and recommendations to Site Managers and the Site Coordinator regarding maintenance risks and plans. You will need: Sound experience and knowledge of trade services, including modifying, commissioning, repairing, and maintaining services and equipment in healthcare environments. Ability to prioritise own work and that of other trades staff, meet project timeframes, and maintain records. Effective communication skills with staff at all levels and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Details of appointment: Permanent, full-time, day work position, 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable. Applicants should note that the selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for twelve months from the publication date. Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
