Every day, Suncare employees are making a difference to real people and making people''s lives better!In the newly created position of Team Leader - Accounts Payable and Receivable, you will be an integral part of Suncares Finance Team and responsible for managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial processing, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and policies.This opportunity is available on a permanent full-time basis (Monday to Friday), with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements that include working at our Maroochydore office and from home.More about the roleReporting to the Manager Financial Accounting and Compliance, your responsibilities include:Team management: Manage team performance and take accountability for delivering plans, targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).Stakeholder management: Build and maintain strong communication and participation with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient processes are in place.Accounts payable: Oversee the processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures, timely payment of all invoices, accurate maintenance of records, and manage vendor relationships to resolve any discrepancies or issues.Accounts receivable: Monitor and manage the collection of outstanding receivables, reconcile accounts, follow up on overdue payments, and prepare and distribute regular financial reports on receivables status.Financial reporting: Assist in the preparation and reporting for the annual financial audit, review general ledger reconciliations on all clearing accounts monthly, provide detailed analysis and reports on financial performance, and support in general ledger reporting and forecasting activities, KPI reporting and other ad hoc reporting needed to support the finance team.Leading projects: Undertake responsibility for small to medium projects, including planning, co-ordination, implementation and administration.Fostering a team culture: Cultivate a responsive, respectful and collaborative team environment, providing leadership to direct reports with a focus on quality, safety, continuous improvement, employee development, retention, and high performance.What you will bring to our teamRelevant post-secondary/tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting and/or equivalent industry experience.Demonstrated leadership experience (minimum two years) and possession of skills and practices for the effective leadership of a multi-disciplinary team.Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.Demonstrated ability to apply continuous quality improvement principles in service development.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, and high-level customer service skills including proven ability to form positive relationships with stakeholders.High level industry knowledge including Government funding, guidelines, and legislation is desirable but not essential.What we offerAt Suncare our people really are our greatest asset.
