Job Title

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing of processed and reinforcing bar through the overall supervision, coordination and engagement of the workforce. This is an afternoon shift position working from 2 to 10 pm, Monday to Friday with up to 15 direct reports.Your responsibilities will include:Leading and managing the shift to ensure the production and output is metEnsuring all WHS management system requirements are met and safety standards are maintained: IRMS, Machine Folders, CoP & System RequirementsManaging costs to ensure delivery is met in the most cost-effective mannerAllocating appropriate manning and ensuring employees are trained, fit, qualified and competent to effectively run operationsEnsuring the operation is working in adherence with site safety policies, procedures, and critical elements.About your experienceYou are an experienced leader with a background in heavy industry or manufacturing. You will be highly skilled in building strong internal and external relationships, responding to frequent changes in priorities and a solution-oriented mindset.To be successful in this role, you will have:Proven experience supervising or managing a large team in a manufacturing or FMCG environmentExperience in leadership and frontline managementHigh level problem solving, conflict resolution and people management skillsExperience with implementation of lean systems and process improvementSolid understanding of safety management systems and building the safety cultureAbility to use MS Office suite and customer order systems or production systemsHigh degree of commercial and business acumenExperience in the steel reinforcing sector would be highly regarded but not essentialBackground in engineering may be beneficialAbout our teamInfraBuilds Reinforcing business unit is a full-service reinforcing supplier to tier 1 builders and mega infrastructure projects across Australia.
