The increasing level of industryactivity and Next-Gen aircraft deliveries to the Asia-Pacific region providesexceptional organic growth opportunities for the business.PositionDescriptionThe Production Planner reportsto the Head of Planning and is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of productionplanning functions, processes, and procedures in accordance with theMaintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and Aerotech Aviation EngineeringProcedures. The Production Planner supports thePlanning, Procurement and Engineering divisions in both Brisbane and AliceSprings. This is a 6 month contract position that could lead into full time employment.Duties andResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of the Production Planner listedbelow are not exhaustive and the position is required to carry out activitiesat the direction of the senior management team within individual capability andscope of the Planning division responsibilities.Production Planning Act as the subject matterexpert for assigned aircraft/projects during the lifecycle from ForwardPlanning handover to project completion while followingdocumented Aerotech Procedures and work instructions. Own the schedule and project managementof critical tasks and timelines for assigned aircraft/projects. Perform final work scopereview and prepare, distribute work packs forassigned projects. In conjunction withProcurement, manage ongoing spare, tooling, consumable and expendable requirements,and NRCs raised while projects are in production. Implement work pack revisions,supplements, and amendments for assigned projects. Manage production control of customerspecific requirements and outputs. Work with the Engineers in Charge(EIC) for the follow up and assessment of outstanding tasks and documentationand reschedule work where required. Undertake quality assurance ofcompleted and closed work pack DFPs in line with Aerotech EngineeringProcedures and customer protocols. Be responsible for the standard and quality ofcompleted documentation, DFPs, and record systems.Customer Relationship Management Day to day management of external customerrelationships and communication. Own internal customer relationships for ProductionPlanning for assigned projects. Develop and nurture relationships with externalcustomers and suppliers.General Identify opportunities for improvement and driveaction to enhance the safety, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of theoperation. Maintain and nurture a Just Culture Endeavour to achieve the most cost-effectivesolutions. Provide Production Planning and business reliefsupport during periods of leave. Assist with the administration of ad-hocprojects and change management.RequirementsCandidateRequirements 1 - 3 years aviation experience in planning, technicalservices and/or engineering. Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements (primarilyCASA, EASA and FAA). Have excellent customer, verbal, and writtencommunication skills, including strong interpersonal and team building skills,and the ability to effectively work independently. Ability to work on multiple taskssimultaneously within strict timelines. Ability to understand technical documentation. Demonstrated time management and interpersonalskills. Intermediate proficiency with Excel, Projectand IT based maintenance information systems. High level of attention to detail. Experience working with Airbus and Boeing platforms isdesirable.
