Market leading and growing civil contracting business with blue chip clientsHealth and Safety Advisor on challenging varied projects up to $40m+, excellent pipelineExcellent career progression and company culture, working as part of a team on siteGreat opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as earthworks, demolition, excavation, piling, retention, foundations, decommissioning etc.Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated WHS Advisor to join their growing business.Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.Types of projects include earthworks, demolition, decommissioning, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from smaller up to $40m+.As WHS Advisor, you will be involved in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety management are carried out across all construction sites. You will be part of a team of WHS Advisors on a long term project.Candidates ideally will have a civil background but any construction background is also ok.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:At each stage of the projects, assist in identifying and managing high risk activitiesLiaise with design teams and contractors in forward planning for safety and coordination of work activitiesCarry out independent health and safety audits on all aspects of construction managementPlan, develop and implement reporting and communication structures to enable accurate assessment and evaluation of health and safety management performanceAssessment of accident, incident and near miss reporting, evaluating findings and monitoring implementation of any corrective / preventative measuresAttend planning and coordination reviews for day to day and long term safety planning of work activitiesQualifications and Requirements:Ideally a Diploma in Health & Safety or a Cert IV but not essential to have either5 to 10+ years experience with background in working in construction health & safetyAbility to thrive in high pressure, fast paced environmentWell-developed interpersonal skillsEnvironment and Quality work may form part of the role too, people with titles such as HSE and HSEQ are also relevant.High level of organisation and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIf you have the skills and experience that we are looking for, click on Apply to submit your resume.For further information, contact Jacob Montague-Day via email to Jacob.montague-day@amida-recruit.com.au or Sam Barnes via email to sam.barnes@amida-recruit.com.au #J-18808-Ljbffr
