Demonstrate the right skill and attitude and well place an incredible amount of trust in you to move on to bigger and better things.Qantas Ground Services (QGS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas Airways and were responsible for providing ground handling and freight services to the Qantas Group.As the Performance Manager you will be responsible in leading and inspiring a team of Ground Staff in achieving the QGS operational and business objectives in both Brisbane and Darwin. This role is pivotal in driving team performance, engagement, and development, while overseeing day-of-operations escalations and ensuring regulatory compliance.Youll be responsible for managing all aspects of employee performance, including attendance, fitness for work, and disciplinary matters, fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce. With a strong focus on communication and capability development, youll support individuals and teams to meet performance criteria and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have4+ years experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams, with strong leadership in a just culture environmentExceptional communication, engaging effectively with stakeholders, peers, and frontline staffProven case management and employee performance oversight, including disciplinary, attendance, and fitness-for-work mattersStrong analytical and problem solving skills, using data to drive decisions and facilitate outcomesHighly organised and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and motivate others under pressureSound judgment, discretion, and integrity, with a commitment to confidentiality and coaching othersWhy Qantas?If youre successful in your application, youll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
