You will also need to provide some back-up office management tasks like obtaining social function costings/quotes and assisting with booking events, overseeing reception, ordering office supplies and other "ad hoc" admin duties as required.About the RoleThis is a busy role and youll need to be able to work autonomously in a deadline driven environment and have outstanding communication skills with a strong work ethic.Youll need to be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work closely with the owner and the external accountant.Overseeing the finances, youll manage financial operations across multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting, healthy cash flow, and effective budgeting.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting functions using XERO and StreamtimePrepare and present financial reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually)Monitor and manage cash flow, payroll, expenses, and debtorsDevelop financial forecasts and advise on minimising financial riskMaintain and improve reporting systems including Wayahead and Monday.comOversee office administration, policies, and supplier engagementLead budget planning, cashflow management, and financial reporting.Manage payroll, invoicing, BAS, expenses, and compliance tasks.Provide financial advice to the MD and senior team.Support office operations and HR admin processes as needed.Working alongside external accountants to ensure finances are on trackPreparing financial reports and assisting accountant with Bas and Tax returnsWhat Youll NeedDegree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or similar4+ years of experience in finance/accounting rolesProficiency in XERO, Excel, and financial systems (e.g. Streamtime, Wayahead)Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skillsHigh attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilityPrevious experience working in a creative agency is a bonusYoull Thrive Here If You AreTrustworthy, proactive, and self-drivenComfortable working independently and meeting deadlinesFlexible and have a great attitudeA team player who enjoys a fast-paced and creative work environment and is happy to be hands-on and assist with adhoc operational tasks as listed above.Previous experience working in a creative environmentThis role is 5 days on site in South Yarra.
