This role offers a unique opportunity to lead small teams on performance audits on behalf of the Auditor-General. You will conduct fieldwork across Tasmania, engage with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to improving public sector performance and transparency. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support audit teams to deliver high-quality audits within set standards. Utilize IT and data analysis tools to assist in audits and report preparation. Supervise team members, providing guidance and feedback. Collect, analyze, and document audit evidence. Maintain professional relationships with client organizations. Assist in drafting audit reports and preparing briefings for parliamentary committees. Contribute to team cohesion and professional development. Undertake other relevant duties as required. Qualifications and Requirements: Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, or ongoing attainment. Drivers license. Experience working in teams on research or evaluation projects in the public sector. Skills in data analysis, including qualitative methods. Experience in public policy development or government reviews is desirable. Additional Information: This is a 12-month fixed-term position with flexible hours, approximately 73.5 hours per fortnight.
