You will report directly to the Manager of City Strategy, managing and providing guidance on the preparation, assessment, and implementation of plans, strategic documents, and other projects that require strategic planning expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the strategic planning initiatives, providing expertise in the area of strategic land useplanning, sustainable development, growth area policy, project management, research,community engagement and consultation.Coordinate and facilitate the preparation, implementation and review of Strategic Plans,Development Plans and Structure Plans within the Municipality.Work collaboratively with the other Coordinator Strategic Planning in leading the City Strategyteam providing mentoring and technical expertise to the strategic planning staff.Provide technical expertise and leadership on areas of strategic land use planning.To view the Position Description, click here.About youTo be successful in this role you will have the following:Tertiary qualification in Urban Planning or a related discipline with further formal qualifications inthe field of expertise, or lesser formal qualifications with extensive and diverse experience, orintensive specialist experience.Substantial and demonstrated experience in a broad range of strategic planning work includingthe preparation of Precinct Structure Plans and the development of planning policies.Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams, preparing projects briefs and delivering highquality outputs.Culture and ValuesOur vision for our community is to be:"A vibrant, safe and liveable city accessible to all" and that means theres a place here for you too.Our organisational values represent us as an established growth Council and the values are reflected in everything we do; our decision-making, our actions and our service provision to the community.
