Mackay & CoalfieldsID: DGPV- 87Full Time$56 /hour + penalties + superannuation + QLeaveDowdens Pumping and Water Treatment, locally owned and operated have been prominent in the Mackay and surrounding regions providing and end to end solutions, repairs and maintenance of all pumping and water treatment associated equipment for over 50 years.With over 200 employees, we are committed to our purpose of being the most respected business in our industry whilst ensuring a safe and positive workplace for all.Role OverviewAs part of our busy Workshop Infield crew, we have the opportunity for a qualified Tradesperson (or suitably experienced Pump Technician) to join our team and be immersed in the wide scope of works we are exposed to.Based from our head office in Mackay (no FIFO option available) this role is perfect for a Tradesperson who enjoys the flexibility and opportunity to work on a wide range of pumping and water treatment products and projects throughout the Mackay and surrounding regions whilst continuing to broaden their experience and capabilities!Service Vehicle, PPE, uniforms and mobile phone provided.All required accommodation and meals supplied.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, troubleshoot and repair pumps, pumping equipment and pipelinesTroubleshoot and conduct routine maintenance and repairs to pumping and water treatment equipmentContribute to the manufacture, install and maintenance of pump stations, pontoons and transfer stationsCollaborate with the team to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issuesRecording of servicing information, photographs and other documentation relevant to the jobTrade Qualification preferred Fitter / Mechanical Fitter / Plumber / Electrician OR;Technician experienced with pumps and / or pumping equipmentCurrent manual Drivers LicenceAbility to read and interpret drawings, manuals and parts informationSupply own hand toolsDesirable, but not essentialMachinery / Operator / Poly Welding competenciesAll applications will be handled confidentially.Candidates must be legally permitted to work in Australia.
