Our comprehensive range of managed funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs) and tailored investment solutions are built to support long-term investment success for our clients.What you will doExplore our data sources to understand, model, and document the data we take from themBuild Entity Relationship Diagrams to show the physical, logical, and conceptual makeup of our holistic data sources and our target databasesWork closely with people across all aspects of Vanguards business to understand data coming into our team and how data will be used once provided by our teamDevelop queries and other test artefacts to validate data is appropriately flowing through data pipelines in line with business requirementsHelp the Data Team and our business treat data as a strategic asset, supporting us to have AI-ready datasetsDeliver training and knowledge share sessions to the Data Engineering team covering the designed data modelsLiaise with our Product Owners, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Architects, Data Engineers and engage business stakeholders directly to validate assumptions and design decisionsParticipates in design, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues and improvements to our data modelsReview, build, and run our data pipelines to understand the processing of data in non-production environmentsWhat We Are Looking ForThorough understanding of Business Intelligence, Kimball Methodology, Data Vault 2.0 and other design principles for data modellingExperience working with Data Engineering teams to POC models and design ideas before formal engineering engagementExperience using Erwin or similar data modelling tools in an enterprise environmentStrong written and oral communication skills and presentation skills with the ability to translate business needs to system and software/data requirementsStrong analysis and analytical skills with attention to detail within complex systems and datasets, particularly on relationships between themExperience working in Data & Analytics teams with Data Engineers, Analysts, Scientists on on-premises or cloud-based environmentsExperience with or knowledge of working with SaaS products, CRM and ERP systems, and generally working with data in different formats, such as flat files, APIs, JSON, and RDBMS.Good understanding of lean and Agile principles, including Shift left, DevOps, CloudOps, DataOps, CI/CD & with a SRE mindsetExperience working in complex Data environments, including with ETL processes/data integration frameworks, such as with Data Lakehouses, Data Warehouses and Data LakesA self-starter whos comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrable learning agilityExperience with Data Visualization tools (Tableau is preferred)Inclusion StatementVanguards continued commitment to diversity and inclusion is firmly rooted in our culture.
