The City of Gold Coast is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Project Manager to support the planning and delivery of city-wide initiatives aimed at improving the Citys performance in the UNDRR Disaster Resilience Scorecard (DRS) for Cities. This fixed-term opportunity (until June 2026) offers the chance to play a hands-on role in strengthening the Citys disaster resilience and contributing to a safer, more resilient community.About your new roleBased at our Disaster and Emergency Management Centre, you will:Support the establishment of governance arrangements and reporting frameworks to enable successful project delivery.Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and coordinate efforts across departments to implement resilience initiatives aligned with the DRS Ten Essentials.Track and report on project progress, manage risks, and assist in identifying budget and resource needs.Support the development and use of resilience monitoring and reporting tools to communicate progress on key initiatives.Embed a culture of resilience into planning, budgeting, and operational decisions across the organization.Lead the planning and delivery of priority resilience projects, including governance support, preparedness, response, institutional capacity, and recovery planning.Support operations of the Local Disaster Coordination Centre (LDCC) during emergencies, including occasional out-of-hours work.We''re looking for people who have:We seek a strategic and collaborative leader with:Proven project management experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.Strong knowledge of disaster risk reduction, resilience planning, or emergency management.The ability to engage senior stakeholders and embed cultural and operational change.Excellent communication, planning, and coordination skills.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and inform strategic decisions.A passion for making cities safer, more adaptive, and future-ready.Be part of shaping the Gold Coast''s futureThe Gold Coast is inspired by lifestyle and driven by opportunity.
