Our team manages the commissioning process to ensure that client expectations are met, risk is mitigated, and a fully functioning and operational facility is handed over to the operations and facilities management teams.As part of Tetra Tech, we offer the scale of a global network with the agility of a specialist consultancy.What youll be doingAs a graduate, youll be involved in the full commissioning lifecycle from design through to handover. Youll help ensure building services systems are thoroughly tested, tuned and ready for operation.This is a unique opportunity thats different from our other graduate engineering roles:Youll be primarily site-based, spending most of your time on project sites rather than in the office.Youll work autonomously and follow a schedule that can change depending on project needs and site access.While your ECS team will support you, much of that support will be virtual, so youll need feel confident in seeking guidance remotely and collaborating online.Strong communication and client consulting skills are essential, as youll be the main point of contact onsite, representing NDY and providing smooth coordination with contractors and clients.Were looking for someone who learns quickly, adapts easily and can pick up processes at pace. To support your development, youll be paired with a mentor who will guide you through our systems and help you grow within the role.Your responsibilities will include:supporting the development and execution of commissioning plans and test proceduresparticipating in site-based testing of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systemshelping deliver Green Star and LEED certification processes as an Independent Commissioning Agent (ICA) or Commissioning Authority (CxA)contributing to building tuning, recommissioning and performance optimisation initiativespreparing reports and documentation that give clients confidence in system performance and compliance.What youll learnYoull gain hands-on experience in commissioning management while also developing skills in:project coordination and stakeholder communicationrisk mitigation and quality assurancesustainable building practices and green certification frameworks.At ECS, youll be mentored by industry leaders and supported by a collaborative team that values precision, integrity and innovation.About ECS and our Graduate ProgramOur Graduate Program is designed to help you kick-start your career in the built environment.
