This is a newly created role designed to unify the University''s internal communications, public affairs, media, and social media initiatives under an integrated strategy.Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director will develop and implement a comprehensive media and communications strategy that enhances the University''s reputation and supports our strategic objectives. You will be empowered to bring together various media and communication areas, shaping the team from the beginning and establishing a cohesive and proactive communication framework. You will lead a dedicated team and oversee media relations, internal and crisis communications and social media strategy, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all platforms.You will build strong relationships with media, government, community and industry partners and our internal audiences. You will work closely with the Executive Director of Strategic Communications, who leads executive-level communications for the Vice Chancellor and Chancellor, ensuring alignment and collaboration across all communications activities. This position is pivotal for enhancing the University''s brand, engaging our community, and ensuring our story is told with impact and clarity.This role is based at our Parramatta South campus but may require work at other campus locations as directed by management.Please review the position description for further information.About YouWe are seeking a seasoned and transformational media and communications leader, a proven executive capable of building and maturing a unified media and communications function within a large, complex organisation. You are a strategic thinker with deep expertise in integrated communications.
