This role is designed to support our Shared Services teams, delivering excellent customer service, meeting agreed service level agreements and ensuring accurate processing and administration of all payrolls related payments by a team of ten.This role would suit an experienced payroll professional that has led and developed a team with an eye for process improvement and development. This will be a busy and varied role where no two days will be the same so the ability to cope with change and problem solve is essential.WHAT YOU WILL DOLead a payroll team of 10 ensuring accurate and compliant fortnightly payroll for client schoolsMaintain compliance with payroll policies, statutory requirements, and legislative obligations (PAYG, Superannuation, Workcover, Salary Packaging, STP).Drive continuous improvement in payroll processes, internal controls, and data managementInterpret complex legislation and payroll agreements to ensure accuracy in payroll operations.Develop and support a high-performance team through coaching, motivation, and knowledge-sharing.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance payroll systems and workflows and resolve any escalated payroll issues.ABOUT YOUDemonstrated leadership experience in a busy large payroll office and an understanding of the demands to support and develop a team.You have demonstrated working knowledge of payroll systems and an understanding of digitalisation processesA strong continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work in a fast paced environmentExcellent stakeholder management skills and able to work with multi- faceted teamsAbility to apply enterprise bargaining agreements (EBA) at an operational level and review complex legislation and payroll agreementsCalm under pressure and able to cope with a changing environment as we uplift our digital capabilitiesHOW TO APPLYPlease refer to the position description for further details about the role and the Key Selection Criteria.Click APPLY to submit your application.
