See yourself in our team Were looking for an Innovation Lead to help shape and accelerate the most ambitious ideas in the business from first spark through to tested, validated outcomes. Youll work closely with senior leaders to uncover high-potential opportunities, frame the right problems, and guide how best to progress them whether that means building something new, experimenting with a triad team, or connecting the idea to the right next step. Youll also act as a front door for innovation with senior leaders helping them surface and shape early ideas, and connecting those ideas to the most effective pathways for discovery, e xperimentation, or progression. You wont just support innovation youll help raise the standard of how its done. This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the edge of where strategy meets action. Working closely with engineering and design, youll explore ideas and prove them out through lean, real-world testing helping the organisation move faster, with greater clarity and confidence. Youll also support capability development within the team and foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and bold thinking. On any given week you will Act as the front door for innovation with senior leaders helping surface, shape, and route early-stage ideas Lead structured discovery in a triad with product, engineering, and design shaping opportunity spaces and designing tests that generate real insight Form hypotheses, prioritise assumptions, and run lean experiments to de-risk decisions Translate discovery into momentum direction, prototypes, or investment-ready cases Work side-by-side with senior stakeholders to connect innovation work to strategic and commercial goals Guide what moves forward, what pivots, and what stops based on real-world evidence Support capability building within the team and help embed a culture of innovation and curiosity Stay across emerging technologies and trends bringing sharp judgment on where they can create value About You: A strategic thinker and hands-on doer you move easily between vision and validation Deeply experienced in product discovery and experimentation, with strong instincts for what makes a great idea real Extensive experience i n product, innovation, service design, or a related strategy role, ideally in complex or regulated environments Proven track record leading early-stage discovery, including hypothesis development, test design, and validation Proven experience working in cross-functional triads especially with engineering and design Strong influencing, communication, and relationship-building skills trusted by stakeholders across disciplines and levels Confident engaging with senior leaders and aligning diverse perspectives toward shared outcomes Curious, commercially sharp, and pragmatic about value you know how to spot signal over noise Comfortable supporting others and growing capability with potential to manage as the function evolves Known for creating momentum, bringing clarity, and helping teams move faster with confidence If the above sounds like you, apply now!If you''re already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group (including Bankwest, x15ventures), you''ll need to apply through Sidekick to submit a valid application.
